Ambassador Duncan Visits H2 Visa Job Fair
The U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador, William Duncan, attended this past Wednesday, February 15, an H2 visa job fair, where U.S. companies interviewed more than a thousand Salvadorans to apply for a temporary work visa in the United States.
This visa program is an initiative of the U.S. government, through USAID El Salvador, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, to provide a legal, temporary and safe way for thousands of Salvadorans to work in the United States.
Ambassador Duncan pointed out in his speech: “We know that behind migration there is a strong desire to better oneself and there is nothing nobler than a father or a mother looking for a way to help their family. We are here to tell you that there are legal and safe work alternatives in the U.S.”
