The Embassy of the United States in El Salvador clarifies that the Department of State has certified to the United States Congress that the three countries of the Northern Triangle — El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras — have taken effective measures to comply with the conditions established by the Congress of the United States this year.
At this time, the decision of when funding will be disbursed is in the hands of Congress.
It is important that El Salvador, and the other countries of the Northern Triangle, continue to take effective measures to advance the progress that has been made. The United States is a committed partner in these efforts.
