The Embassy of the United States, through the Humanitarian Assistance Program of the Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), handed over 400 water filters and water purifiers to benefit residents of Tepecoyo, La Libertad, who will have a better quality of life by having clean water for their consumption.

Chargé d’Affaires Brendan O’Brien delivered the donation with Tepecoyo’s Mayor Janet González.

Since 2020, the Southern Command has procured more than 40 donations of various supplies, within the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic, to support community growth in El Salvador.
