The new electronic window MiEmpresa.gob.sv of the Government of El Salvador (GOES) will allow individual traders and companies to carry out the necessary procedures to obtain 25 registrations from 8 public and private entities.
This electronic window will improve the business climate and competitiveness of the country and is part of the mechanisms that allow the clarification and simplification of administrative procedures related to the creation and operation of companies, in order to promote transparency, facilitate private investment, promote the formalization of micro and small entrepreneurs, and provide better quality services.
MiEmpresa.gob.sv is the result of efforts between the the Technical and Planning. Secretariat to the Presidency (STPP), the National Registry Center (CNR), the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor, the Salvadoran Social Security Institute (ISSS), the Pension Funds Administrators, the Municipalities of San Salvador and Santa Ana and the Regulatory Improvement Organization (OMR), under the coordination of the Ministry of Economy and the technical and financial support of the United States Government through the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and FOMILENIO II.
Among the services offered by MiEmpresa.gob.sv are the registration of deed of incorporation, company and merchants enrollment and registration, obtaining a Tax Identification Number (NIT), obtaining a Taxpayer Registration Number (NRC/VAT), among others.
These services facilitate the procedures with the Commerce Registry, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor, the ISSS, the Mayor’s Office of San Salvador and Santa Ana, AFP Confía, AFP Crecer and the General Directorate of Statistics and Censuses.
