U.S EMBASSY INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The U.S. Embassy in San Salvador is seeking candidates for unpaid temporary interns to assist the following sections:

The United States Embassy in San Salvador is offering one temporary unpaid internship to assist the FPD Section for six months. This internship is uncompensated and not entitled to benefits.

Responsibilities:
    • Update and maintain databases and files
    • Assist with various administrative duties in support of the Force Protection Detachment Office
Desired Profile:
    • Minimum availability of 20 hours per week to be present at the embassy
    • English at an intermediate level
    • Active university student
Skills and Abilities:
    • Detail oriented
    • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
    • Problem solving capabilities

    • Good academic standing
    • Able to receive and hold a security and medical certification from post

Any student participating in the Local Internship Program with U.S. Embassy San Salvador is not an employee of the U.S. Mission.

Responsibilities:
    • Assist with activities such as pre-screening cases, data entry and other day to day tasks
    • Assist in clerical functions
    • Review legal documentation
    • Interact with public
Desired Profile:
    • Minimum availability of 20 hours per week to be present at the embassy
    • English at an intermediate level
    • Active university student in at least at least your 3rd semester
