Humanitarian Assistance from SOUTHCOM for the municipality of Santiago de la Frontera

As part of the ongoing assistance to Salvadoran communities and in the context of the ravages of Storm Julia, the United States Government, through the Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP) of the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), delivered 280 water tanks and fumigators to the Municipality of Santiago de la Frontera.

These supplies will be a great help to guarantee access to water to the inhabitants of the area that were affected by the storm Julia, as well as to stop the proliferation of mosquitoes. The health and well-being of Salvadorans continues to be one of the main objectives of our cooperation.

The U.S. Government, through HAP and thanks to the Southern Command, has donated inputs and supplies to support municipalities and institutions in natural disasters, dengue and chikungunya, as well as for the protection of COVID-19.
