Senior Advisors to the Senate Committee on Budget Assignments visited El Salvador

Two senior advisers to the Senate Committee on Appropriations of the Department of State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs, Mr. Adam Yezerski and Ms. Katherine Jackson, visited El Salvador from May 28-30, 2019. During the visit they observed projects financed by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The government of the United States works through these projects to reduce illegal migration by stimulating the economy, generating investment, improving public safety, and strengthening of government institutions. The advisors also had the opportunity to hear from individuals to understand first-hand the impact of the more than $1.140 million that the United States has invested in the last 10 years.
