The Undersecretary of International Trade, Marisa Lago, made a three-day visit to El Salvador from November 8 to 10. During her stay in the country, the Undersecretary met with the Minister of Economy, María Luisa Hayem.
The U.S. official also had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce of El Salvador, members of the Business Council for Latin America (CEAL) in Central America, SIGET and Ternova.
As a result of the working sessions, both countries presented the Joint Declaration on Shared Priorities in Digital Policy. During the Joint Declaration, the Undersecretary highlighted the importance of the relationship with El Salvador and the commitment to continue working to attract foreign direct investment and promote job creation.
