United States donates four helicopters to relieve Salvadoran aircraft in Mali
The United States government, through its embassy in El Salvador, delivered four MD 530F helicopters to the Armed Forces of El Salvador (FAES). The North American nation donated the equipment with the objective of supporting the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali.
The Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in El Salvador, Katherine Dueholm, presided over the delivery of the helicopters to the Ministry of National Defense, to continue with the mission in the Republic of Mali. The diplomat highlighted the valuable contribution of the Salvadoran missions in the African nation.
In addition to the helicopters, the U.S. government also delivered a fire truck, a tanker, generators and a forklift.
