The United States Embassy will have limited public services

Due to the lack of a U.S. Government budget agreement as of Monday, January 22, the U.S. Embassy in El Salvador will be operating in a limited manner until further notice. However, the Consular Section will be open to the public and will continue with its visa services an with providing assistance to U.S. citizens. Also, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) will continue to operate normally; including serving the public in person and answering questions by phone and email.
